Welcome to the site of the Lahntalbahn in scale N. 
This site is designed for those that like railroad in general but especially the miniature railroad.

Who are we? The Lahntalgroup is a subgroup of the Voorschotense modelspoor Vereniging (VMV). This club was founded in 1993. At present the club has about 45 members and is affiliated to the NMF (Nederlandse Modelspoor Federatie).

At present 12 members are actively engaged in building the "Lahntalbahn". Shortly after foundation of the club in 1993 these so called Lahntalers started to reconstruct an existing part of German railroad in scale N. To get a somewhat playful (loser) design we did not stick to one of the standards (N-track etc.) where all the measurements are prescribed. Naturally there is consensus about the used materials and colours etc. etc. All participants agreed on the design.

The Lahntalbahn in N is a good example of a detailed piece of railroad in scale N (1:160). 

This site shows where we find our inspiration and how we apply this using different materials to achieve a high quality product.
